Being a fairly large fan of both science and, in particular, citizen science (where the public participates in scientific research,) I feel drawn to organizations that revolve around these disciplines. Today, I learned about Explore.org's tundra buggy cams. These live tundra cams allow at-home viewers to snap photos of polar bears as their presence graces the computer screen, allowing the size and health of the bears to be documented so that they can be better monitored by scientists. I am on the spectator end, so I can't vouch for the overall utility, but it is a pretty neat concept...at least until the bears learn to take selfies. Here's my Rembrandt of the day.
